Remote Agent Status

The Remote Agent Status list shows the status of any computer that is used in an Operation (Specific Computer) or computer used in a Computer Group.  The computer must be running a SmartBatch Remote Agent for its status to be successfully displayed.

The following picture shows the Remote Agent Status list. You can click on "hot spot" areas in the picture below to get detailed information about buttons, controls and fields.

 

Note:  Even though the Ping Status might report an error, this does not mean the Remote Agent is not functioning and successfully processing Operations.  There could be a communication error or perhaps a port firewall issue preventing the ability of the Executive Server to communicate with the Remote Agent.  Even if that is the case, the Remote Agent will periodically read the database for any requests it may have to process Operations.  Contact support if you are seeing Operations that stay in a Queued status and you are unable to determine the problem.
