A System errors Alert List is used when Executive Server needs to create a notification due to a failure that is not associated with a specific Operation, Step or Job. Currently, this capability is used to notify the Operators on a System Alert List when objects are placed in the Pending status.

Note: If digital paging is being used, a digital message of 1111 is used.

System errors Alert List Designation

You can specify that an Alert List be used when SmartBatch system errors occur.

The following system errors are reported to the System Alert List:

1.SmartBatch creates a notification event when an object is placed in the Pending status. This can occur when the Executive Server is restarted and at least one object has a Schedule that is out of date and the Schedule is configured to use the Set out-of-date objects to Pending.

2.A connection or unexpected error occurs when the Executive Server is sending a SQL command to the SQL Server database.
