Lesson 8: History

The SmartBatch History

When you configure an Operation you can specify that you want to write to History on Start, Success or Failure. This tells the Executive Server when to write information to History. The History maintains the History records so that they can be viewed later to examine the processing that occurred.  

Step 1: Viewing History

To display the History list select the History node in the tree view.  You can use the Operation, Step or Job filter along with a Filter and date selection to reduce the number of rows displayed.  

To change the Start Date select the Calendar drop down in the Date Selection panel.  You will need to select the List button again to use the changed filter criteria.

Step 2: Deleting History

You can easily delete History records by right-click on specific rows and selecting the Delete Selected menu item.  This will delete only the rows you selected.

You can also delete History records by right-clicking on any row in the History list and selecting the Delete menu item.  You will be prompted with a dialog that allows you to specify a date range or delete all capability.
