SmartBatch Automation Wizards

A set of automation wizards is provided to help you configure commonly used features for your SmartBatch environment. The Wizards create the necessary objects in the SmartBatch database. Each Wizard described below lists associated help topics that provide you with more detailed information. This information is related to the underlying SmartBatch objects the Wizards create for you.

Maintain the SmartBatch History using SmartDeleteHistory

This Wizard automatically sets up the necessary SmartBatch objects to maintain SmartBatch History. History can be configured for Operations by specifying the History options on Start, Success or Failure. The History can be written to the SmartBatch History, Windows Event Log or Custom History . When written to the SmartBatch History, this causes the SmartBatch database to increase in size.  Over time if History records are not deleted the database size can grow significantly. Deleting history records should be done on a regular basis.
