Tutorial Overview
What You Will Learn
This tutorial has eight lessons that provide information about SmartBatch, step-by-step procedures, and graphics.

•Lesson 1 is intended to get you familiar with the SmartBatch environment, the main components and how they interact.
•Lesson 2 gets you up and running with a simple Schedule and Operation. It simply sets up a Schedule and an Operation. The Operation will be run at its scheduled time by the Executive Server (ES).
•Lesson 3 goes into some more detail about Scheduling options and exception dates.
•Lesson 4 discuss the Notification setup so that you can start using Paging or Email notification.
•Lesson 5 and 6 teaches you about Parameters and Dependencies, what they are and how they are used with SmartBatch.
•Lesson 7 goes into the detail of how to setup Operations Steps, and Jobs for more complex batch processing needs. It provides an example of how to update a Web site’s HTML files on a weekly basis.
•Lesson 8 provides an overview of the Status and History capabilities, how to view the different types of History entries, how to determine what is on the Executive Server’s list of objects and finally how to resubmit or delete an object on the Status window.
