Schedule Resource View

The Schedule Resource View provides a convenient way to view your objects with their associated schedules showing their run times.  This provides a resource allocation capability allowing you to more easily determine when you might want to schedule additional processing or perhaps change a schedule to a different time.

The following pictures shows an example of an Operation diagram. You can click on "hot spot" areas in the picture below to get detailed information about buttons, controls and fields.

SmartBatch keeps track of one start and end time for each object (Operation, Step or Job) no matter how many times that object is used.  An Operation may exist in multiple Steps and a Step may exist in multiple Jobs.  Further the same Operation can be in a Step more than one time and the same Step may be in a Job more than one time.  It is important to note that for any object  the start and end time used in the Schedule Resource View is from the last time the object has run.  So if its run time can vary considerably you might want to consider creating another object.  For example, lets say you have Operation X that exists in Step A and also in Step B.  You can create a copy of Operation X and call it Operation Y.  Place Operation X in Step A and Operation Y in Step B.  By doing this the start and end date/time will be for each run of Step A and Step B.
