Data Source Settings

The SmartBatch data source can be one of the supported database products (MS Access or SQL Server).  The express version of SQL Server does not require additional licensing to use with SmartBatch.  Connecting to the data source requires the information from the Data Source tab shown below.  To change the connection information use the Database Management tool.

The following picture shows the Service Settings window Data Source tab. The windows provides you with the ability to set start and stop the SmartBatch Executive Server service and view the data source connection information. You can click on "hot spot" areas in the picture below to get detailed information about buttons, controls and fields.

Connection string

Provide the value for the connection of the database name the Executive Server or Remote Agent will use to connect to the SmartBatch database (e.g., SmartBatch).
